Niagara Charter School students have fun in the sun

Niagara Charter School students took part in their annual field day on Tuesday, June 18, competing outside in many fun physical challenges and games to cap off an awesome school year. Throughout the day, 350 students practiced great teamwork and sportsmanship testing skills as they raced, jumped, and worked together through the field day stations.

The students and staff beat the heat and stayed cool with help from a visit by the Niagara Falls Air Force base's fire truck, cooling stations, snow cones, and, of course plenty of water!

Physical education teacher and field day organizer Abby Eschen said she was thrilled with the excitement and participation from all involved: "Despite the rain storm early this morning, the sun came out and we had an awesome event! I love seeing the kids having so much fun. Their smiles make all the hard work and preparation worth it. We all can't wait to do it again next year!"
