At 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, the Buffalo Silver Band will perform patriotic pieces and other music to celebrate Flag Day, Independence Day, and the onset of summer. This is the last performance of the season for the Youngstown Presbyterian Church Concert Series.
The Buffalo Silver Band has been in existence for over 100 years, and currently has 31 brass musicians and three percussionists on its roster – some professional and some amateur. Their conductor is Bill Cocca, a well-known musician, conductor, and music educator throughout Western New York.
Weather-permitting, the concert will be outside. Folding chairs will be available, but feel free to bring your own lawn chair.
Admission is free and open to the public, but a free-will offering will be available. Contributions are gratefully accepted, and will be used to fund future concerts and musical events.
The church is located at 100 Church St., Youngstown.
