Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced a Niagara County jury returned a guilty verdict against Gregory M. Pearson, age 34, of Niagara Falls, this afternoon after deliberating for less than two hours. Pearson was convicted of seven counts of predatory sexual assault against a child committed in Niagara Falls in the years 2017 through 2021.

“The jury swiftly convicted the defendant of horrible crimes committed against vulnerable children,” Seaman said. “We will be asking the judge to impose a life sentence that makes sure he will never come into contact with a child again.”

Pearson faces up to 50 years to life in prison when he returns to court to be sentenced by County Court Judge Caroline Wojtaszek in July.

The case was investigated by the Niagara Falls Police Department and prosecuted by assistant district attorneys Rob Zucco and Liesel Marcantonio of the special victims unit.
