Assemblyman Angelo Morinello announced the start of his “Summer Reading Challenge,” titled “Adventure Begins at Your Library,” and encourages every student to sign up and demonstrate their eagerness to learn.
Morinello is challenging all students in grades K-7 living in the 145th Assembly District to embark on a reading adventure by reading for 15 minutes a day for a period of 40 days between July and August. Last year, there was a record-breaking number of participants.
“It is so important we continue to encourage our students to read with one another and expand upon their education,” Morinello said. “It’s always a pleasure to witness our future generation continue to break records year after year, and I can’t wait to see how the students do this year!”
All winners who complete the challenge will receive a certificate of accomplishment for their achievement. Additionally, if at least nine classmates finish the challenge, Morinello will bring pizza to the winners in the fall to celebrate their reading success.
Registration is now open, and parents can click here to sign up.
