April’s ‘Cocktail for a Cause’ to honor Earth Day
The Terrace at Delaware Park announced Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper as its community partner for “A Happy Hour for a Cause” (5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 4) and for April’s “Cocktail for a Cause.”
“Happy Hour for a Cause” is the launch of The Terrace’s April drive to unveil the “Emerald Elixir” cocktail. A press release stated, “Everyone is invited to come stop in and try our featured cocktail, enjoy live music from Joey Donahue, have complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and learn more about the great work that Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper does to protect WNY’s waterways. There is no cover charge; donations are encouraged.
“April’s ‘Cocktail for a Cause’ is the ‘Emerald Elixir’ and was created to celebrate Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper's 35th anniversary and this upcoming Earth Day. The ‘Emerald Elixir’ is a refreshing spritzer made with cucumber vodka, elderflower liquor, lime juice, cucumber mint syrup and club soda.”
The Terrace at Delaware Park will donate $4 from every featured cocktail sold.
“Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper is excited to partner with The Terrace at Delaware Park in recognition of our 35 years of work on implementing solutions for our waterways,” the agency said. “By creating the ‘Emerald Elixir’ cocktail, The Terrace has found a unique way to support our work, as well as provide an opportunity to enjoy a fun drink in a beautiful location all while experiencing the beauty of Hoyt Lake and Scajaquada Creek. We are grateful that each purchase will directly support our organization's efforts to restore and protect Scajaquada for our entire community!”
“The Terrace at Delaware Park is thrilled to honor, support and help spread the word about the tireless work our friends at Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper do this Earth Day and month surrounding it,” said Jason Davidson, managing partner. “Our beautiful waterways and parks cannot be taken for granted and must be protected. We wanted to create an easy way for the community to say ‘Cheers! Waterkeepers, keep up the good work!’ We will be donating $4 for every ‘Emerald Elixir’ sold during the month of April. We are also looking for other generous supporters who would be willing to match $1 and build up the value of this campaign."
