Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center announced its Premier 2024 fundraising gala, held Jan. 20, successfully raised over $168,500 for its Women's Health Services of Niagara.

This year’s event, embracing the Roaring ’20s, celebrated NFMMC's past 100 years of achievements and attracted over 700 attendees and sponsors across Western New York to the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.

A press release stated, “The funds raised from the event will enable Memorial's Women's Health Services to continue providing comprehensive health care services for women at all stages of their lives in the Niagara Region. These services include a wide range of expert care options, including the only labor and delivery program in Niagara County, obstetrics and gynecology services, and P3 Center, which concentrates on family planning, pregnancy support, and parenting.”

The annual event also honors individuals who continue to make a difference in the Niagara community. This year’s honorees included the Rev. James J. Maher, president of Niagara University; Dr. Zubair Shaikh, director of NFMMC's hospitalist program; and Dr. Alicia Scott, a key member of NFMMC’s hospitalist team.
