Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has announced a “significant” donation from Scott Bieler, president and CEO of West Herr Auto Group, for the renovation of its auditorium into the Scott Bieler Family Foundation Innovation & Training Center. Work is set to begin in January, with completion expected by June.
Hospital officials said, “This transformative project aims to modernize the current auditorium into a state-of-the-art center for education, orientation and professional development. The new center will have advanced audio-visual technology and interactive smart boards, serving both the medical center and the Western New York community.”
NFMMC President and CEO Joseph Ruffolo said, "This generous donation from Mr. Bieler is a game-changer for us. The newly renovated center will usher in a new era of advanced training and educational excellence, profoundly impacting the standard of health care we deliver."
The press release said, “The current NFMMC auditorium, a multipurpose space for meetings, health clinics and various training sessions, has long been due for an upgrade. Bieler's donation marks a substantial contribution toward the project's total cost.”
Bieler, renowned for his philanthropic endeavors throughout Western New York, serves as president of the Scott Bieler Family Foundation. His dedication to supporting local health care causes has earned him numerous awards and recognitions for his many contributions to the region.
"Supporting NFMMC in its mission to educate and train health care professionals is an honor,” Bieler said. “This project aligns perfectly with my foundation's goals to improve health care and the well-being of the community."

The press release stated, “Memorial plays a vital role in training future health care professionals by partnering with various educational institutions to enhance programs in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, physical therapy and more. NFMMC has affiliations with several colleges and universities in Western New York, including the University at Buffalo, Niagara University, Purdue University, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), St. John Fisher University, Niagara County Community College and D'Youville University, among others. Additionally, the center collaborates with local high schools such as Niagara Falls High School, Lewiston-Porter High School and Grand Island High School, to provide comprehensive programs in nursing, radiologic technology, pharmacy, physical therapy, surgical technology and more.”
