The week of Nov. 6-11, the Veterans One-stop Center is hosting an inaugural virtual fundraiser called “REBOOT.”
A press release stated, “The ‘REBOOT’ campaign is a one-of-a-kind fundraising opportunity that brings together our area’s vibrant arts community and the generous spirit of Western New Yorkers. Thirty pairs of leather boots have been reimagined: hand-painted, tattooed, stitched, adorned, wood-crafted and handcrafted by local artisans and makers.
“One boot from each of the pairs will be given out to local ‘REBOOT RECRUITS,’ members of our community who have been recruited to fundraise and further the mission of the Veterans One-stop Center. It is an online campaign, and once the ‘RECRUITS’ meet their fundraising goal and graduate, they will receive the second boot to their pair as a reminder that local veterans need this community’s respect and support.”
On the website www.vocwny.org, one will find:
√ A “REBOOT” logo link to a list of “RECRUITS” and individual fundraising pages;
