Workers from Sahlem’s Roofing and Siding were putting a new roof on a section of the former Knights of Columbus hall on Wednesday. The building, at 1841 Whitehaven Road, along with the 9-acre parcel of land behind it, was sold to James J. Panepinto this past April. He told the Dispatch the work is part of the ongoing process to stabilize the building.
There’s no word yet on what’s planned for the property, which had housed Mary Star of the Seas Knights of Columbus Council No. 4752 since January of 1967. (Below photos by Karen Carr Keefe)
