Angel Sun, with Maureen Gambino as lead vocalist and Joseph Gotta playing guitar, performed an acoustic show Oct. 18 at Brick Oven Restaurant to benefit the Grand Island Neighbors Foundation. The event, enjoyed by many participants, raised $360 – and attendees also donated nonperishable food to benefit the Neighbors Foundation.

Gambino, a second-grade teacher at Huth Road School, organized the event and also coordinated a canned good collection in her classroom, which provided additional donations for the Neighbors Foundation.

The Neighbors Foundation very much appreciates Gambino organizing the show and generously donating all proceeds to benefit Islanders in need! Thanks to Brick Oven for hosting and contributing a gift card to the event – and thanks, as well, to all who attended and donated to support the Neighbors Foundation mission to provide confidential food assistance to our Island neighbors.
