Women United of Greater Niagara’s annual personal hygiene drive began Oct. 1 and runs through the end of the month. Donations of personal hygiene products such as feminine hygiene products, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes and toothpaste, tissues, and laundry detergent are being collected.
Donations can be dropped off at the locations below:
√ United Way of Greater Niagara, 6420 Inducon Drive West, Suite B2, Sanborn
√ Chris Fit Personal Training, 4600 Witmer Industrial Estates, Niagara Falls
√ Salon Diaz, 4613 Military Road, Niagara Falls
√ M&T Bank, 750 Main St., Niagara Falls
√ Northwest Bank, 4381 Military Road, Niagara Falls; 500 Center St, Lewiston; 55 East Ave, Lockport
√ Lockport Family YMCA, 5833 Snyder Drive
This year, collected donations will benefit 10 area school districts, supplying and creating personal hygiene closets for students.
Throughout 2023, Women United has focused on women’s health and worked to address issues impacting the community by collecting goods for those in need.
A press release stated, “Women United of Greater Niagara is an influential group of community-minded women who work with United Way of Greater Niagara to improve lives and build a better future for the Niagara community. At the same time, they work to inspire and bring value to women.”
