Squeals of excitement and lively dance music were heard from the Niagara University O’Shea quad on Saturday, Sept. 23. A group of people were seen on the lawn for pop-up classes sponsored by the Niagara University Kiernan Center. Cardio kickboxing was offered at 4 p.m. and yoga at 4:45 p.m.
Throughout the week, the Kiernan Center offers a variety of group aerobics classes. A semester schedule can be found online and in the lobby of the building. This is the first set of pop-up classes held by the Kiernan Center under its new director of fitness and wellness, Katerina Manuse.
Each class had a small group at the beginning, which expanded as time went on, and passersby joined in on the fun. By the end, there were larger groups, more laughter, and new people getting involved in fitness on campus.
Aerobics classes are available to all students and community members who have purchased a membership. To purchase a membership, visit the Kiernan Center website.
