Niagara Arts Guild meeting

Robert Rimmer, art teacher and caricaturist, will demonstrate his artistic methods at the next meeting of the Niagara Arts Guild. The event is set for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at the Dale Association, 33 Ontario St., Lockport. All artists are invited.

Rimmer has a master’s degree in art from SUNY College at Buffalo. He was influenced by local artists Joe Whalen, Bill Storrs and Jack DiMaggio. He has exhibited at the Kenan Center, River Art Gallery (NT), Butler Library at S.U.C.B., Niagara County History Center, Art247, the Niagara Art Trail in Wrights Corners and several other WNY galleries.

He recently designed the painting on Uncle G’s Ice Cream in Pendleton, a watercolor of Pendleton greeting the state governor.
