Free family events introduce girls to the world of Girl Scouts
The Girl Scouts of Western New York (GSWNY) are preparing for a new year of fun, learning and adventure for its members, and part of the experience is to welcome new members, too.
Organizers said, “Make this a year of fun for your girl, and encourage her to become a Girl Scout. Learn more about the lifelong benefits of Girl Scouting at a free kick off party. These parties are family-friendly with games, crafts, refreshments and plenty of opportunity to learn more about Girl Scouts.”
Parties will be held:
√ Saturday, Aug. 5, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Parkside Shelter, Delaware Park, Buffalo
√ Saturday, Aug. 12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Cheektowaga Town Park, 2600 Harlem Road
√ Sunday, Aug. 13, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Windy Meadows Girl Scout Camp, 5000 Cambria St., Lockport
GSWNY is also interested in meeting adult volunteers who may be interested in leading a troop.
