At approximately 7:34 p.m. Sunday a 14-year-old male was struck by a car at the Niagara Falls Motel at the 8700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard The teen was transported to John R. Oishei Children's Hospital of Buffalo, where he was listed as in critical condition.
Additionally, two adults were treated at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for injuries that were less severe. There has been no update on their condition.
An arrest was made, and the driver charged with one count of attempted assault in the first degree. That levy can be upgraded once more is known about the 14-year-old’s injuries. The driver is also being charged with two counts of assault in the second degree for the victims at NFMMC.
The 42-year-old male driver was arraigned Sunday morning and released to probation by Niagara Falls City Court Judge Diane L. Vitello. He is due back in Niagara Falls City Court on Aug. 8.
