The Lewiston Community Lions sponsored the Village of Lewiston Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 22, starting at the Red Brick Municipal Building. On Monday of this week, trustees recognized the club for its work. Mayor Anne Welch presented a certificate of appreciation to Lion Rob Nichols.
She said, “You guys did a terrific job” with the Earth Day cleanup. “I know you had some bad rain that you had to work through. You did a really, really nice job, and we really appreciate your commitment to the village.”
Nichols thanked the board for its cooperation.
“We enjoy that partnership, and we want to keep that going,” he said.
