The Friends of the Library, the volunteer group that supports the Lewiston Library in many ways, is seeking nominations for this year’s Library Volunteer of the Year award.
Organizers said, “If you know of a volunteer who goes above and beyond serving the library, this is your chance to nominate them for the appreciation and recognition they deserve.
“The award is named after Mamie Simonson who devoted her time, enthusiasm and smile, to many Friends of the Library projects over the years. She passed away in 2016, leaving a legacy of service to the community.”
Nomination forms can be found on the Lewiston Library website (Friends page) and at the library’s front desk. Return completed form to the address listed on the form.
