Congratulations to Niagara Career and Technical Education Center’s SkillsUSA adviser and math teacher Julie Roloff! Roloff, pictured, recently received the Hall of Champions Award at the New York State SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Competition in Syracuse.
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure American has a skilled workforce.
Winners have to be nominated by a state SkillsUSA association director or current or past SkillsUSA board member, SkillsUSA HQ staff member, SkillsUSA chapter, stakeholder, alumni, or other leaders in the organization. The nomination form must be accompanied by up to five letters of support from SkillsUSA members, career and technical education (CTE) instructors, SkillsUSA advisers, parents, advisory committee members, etc. The letters of support must demonstrate the nominee’s breadth and depth of impact on youth development within the SkillsUSA framework.
Roloff was honored because she dedicated her life at the state level to helping youth develop the components of the SkillsUSA framework (personal, workplace and technical skills grounded in academics) necessary to be successful in a changing world.
