Submitted by the Erie County Department of Health
In light of the end of the COVID-19 national emergency on April 10, and with the anticipated conclusion of the COVID-19 public health emergency on May 11, the Erie County Department of Health is ending its monthly COVID-19 data updates.
ECDOH and its office of epidemiology have provided regular updates on COVID-19 cases and transmission since March 2020. The April 2023 report (online) will be the final monthly report compiled by ECDOH.
The data sources that ECDOH relies on – the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – continue to publish COVID-19 data daily and weekly. These sources are available to the public and provided in links below.
ECDOH will continue to monitor COVID-19 trends in positive cases, hospitalizations, mortality and wastewater. ECDOH will also continue to advise the community about updates to COVID-19 vaccines and prevention strategies.
