UPDATE: The Niagara Falls Police Department learned the 16-year-old male who was shot Monday morning on Ashland Avenue passed away last night at ECMC.
Niagara Falls Police are continuing their investigation into the incident. The names of the persons involved are not being released at this time.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. Monday morning, Niagara Falls police responded to a house in the 1300 block of Ashland Avenue for a report of a man shot. Upon arrival, officers located two males suffering from gunshot wounds: A 41-year-old male was shot in the thigh and transported by ambulance to ECMC, where he was treated and then released Monday afternoon. A 16-year-old male was shot in his lower abdomen. He was transported by ambulance to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center before eventually being transferred to ECMC, where he is in critical condition.
