The Lewiston Community Lions will sponsor the Village of Lewiston Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 22, at the Red Brick Municipal Building, located at 145 N. Fourth St.

“We are excited to once again partner with the Village of Lewiston for the cleanup, and this year we are adding a community picnic,” event chairman Lion Rob Nichols said.

This event is open to individuals and groups. Ample free parking is available.

The schedule includes:

•9 a.m. meetup – Organizers said, “Grab some coffee or hot chocolate sponsored by Tim Horton of Lewiston, then get your assigned location for cleanup. The Village of Lewiston has provided gloves and bags – bring your energy. Share your photos on FB and tag us!”

•11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Hot dog lunch. Meet back behind the Red Brick for a community lunch sponsored by the Lewiston Community Lions.

Those interested in volunteering for this event, or learning more about the Lewiston Community Lions, can visit the club’s Facebook page (Lewiston Lions) or email [email protected].
