'Medicare Spring Into Health' event

AAA helps you learn the benefits of a healthy lifestyle

AAA Western and Central New York is hosting a complimentary “Medicare Spring Into Health” event on Thursday, April 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the organization’s headquarters, 100 International Drive in Amherst.

Whether someone is already enrolled in a Medicare plan, ready to retire, or working past age 65, this event will offer guidance for every step in the process. It will feature information about Medicare enrollment and presentations by representatives from Independent Health, Wurlitzer Pharmacy, and Parkinson’s Boxing in Kenmore.

The schedule of events is as follows:

√ 10:30-11 a.m.: In-person registration

√ 11-11:10 a.m.: Opening remarks by AAA Medicare Manager Teresa Jones

√ 11:10-11:30 a.m.: Presentation by Independent Health; Dr. Diedre Wheat will be speaking on the benefits of nutritional health

√ 11:30-11:50 a.m.: Presentation by Parkinson’s Boxing (Kenmore); Dan Eoannou, owner of Parkinson’s Boxing, will be speaking on the benefits of health and wellness

√ 11:50 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.: Presentation by Wurlitzer Pharmacy

Speaking on the benefits of pharmaceutical health

√ 12:10-12:30 p.m.: Presentation by AAA Travel; speaking on the benefits of AAA Travel and the Solo Travelers Club

√ 12:30-12:50 p.m.: Presentation by AAA Western and Central New York; speaking on the benefits of membership, insurance, travel, and driver training

Each person’s seven-month initial enrollment period (IEP) begins three months before their 65th birthday month and ends three months after.
