The SUNY Buffalo State Small Business Development Center has announced the return of KidBiz Market, a small-scale entrepreneurial and educational program for third, fourth, fifth and sixth graders, which culminates in an open-air market along bustling Elmwood Avenue.
Organizers said, “Designed to help young entrepreneurs develop essential skills and knowledge for success in business, the program will provide an engaging and interactive learning experience that empowers kids to pursue their passions and turn their ideas into reality!”
The KidBiz program is tailored for children in these grade levels and is led by Small Business Development Center business advisers. The program starts with a training session from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, April 29, in SUNY Buffalo State University Bulger Communication Center Room 215. Children and their responsible adults are required to attend the training session.
Then, the KidBiz Market will be open on June 24, July 15 and Aug. 12 near the Elmwood Bidwell farmers market.
Registration for KidBiz is now open. For more information about the program or how to register, contact Olivia Harbol at 716-878-4030.
