Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 33-year-old Antonio B. Lee of Buffalo was sentenced this morning before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to 13 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision.
The defendant admitted that he caused the death of 53-year-old Marguerite A. Reading by stabbing her inside of his apartment on Albany Street in the City of Buffalo on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020. The victim’s body was later found in the vicinity of the Buffalo Central Terminal near Paderewski Drive. An autopsy by the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the victim died from multiple stab wounds.
Lee pleaded guilty to one count of manslaughter in the first degree (class “B” violent felony) on Sept. 13, 2022.
DA Flynn commended the Buffalo Police Department homicide squad for its work in the investigation.
The case was prosecuted by Chief Gary W. Hackbush of the homicide bureau.
