What better way to celebrate International Women's Day then by making history at your university?
Aaliyah Parker surely knows the feeling.
The Niagara women’s basketball team played in the MAAC tournament on Wednesday against Rider University. Niagara won, 67-64, and Parker produced 18 points, 14 rebounds and 11 steals.
Parker averages 17 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.7 steals per game; she has also made the All-MAAC team for her sophomore season, joining her sister, Angel Parker. Aaliyah Parker ranks second nationally for steals this season, while her sister is in the top 10.
The Purple Eagles are the only Western New York Division I women’s basketball team advancing in March.
