The 54th Olcott Lions Club Swim For Sight was another fun day in Olcott Beach. The ice-free lake was still very cold Sunday, and many folks had a good time going in the water and raising money for the Lions Club.
Nikki Edsall of Ransomville was selected as Polar Bear Queen before the queen contestants went into the lake to start the swim.
A bus full of “Waldos” came out and had a great time taking part in the tug-of-war before doing some tailgating and then taking a dip in the lake. Members of the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office were among the many swimmers, many in costume who went into the water and helped to make this event so unique. (Photos by Wayne Peters)
