Cindy Voelker named president & CEO of Spectrum Health

Formerly served as associate CEO

The board of directors of Spectrum Health and Human Services named Cindy Voelker president and CEO, effective Jan. 1.

“The decision was based on Cindy’s years of dedication, professionalism, and her commitment the clients and staff of Spectrum Health,” said Robert O’Leary, chair of Spectrum Health’s board of directors. “Cindy is truly a caring person for the people we serve and the staff that she leads each and every day.”

A press release said, “Voelker served as the associate CEO since 2017 under Bruce Nisbet who retired in 2022. She has an impressive tenure with Spectrum Health, having also served as the senior vice president of operations and director of intensive services, where she developed and managed multiple clinical programs including care coordination, supportive housing, and assertive community team (ACT) programs for the agency.”

A graduate of the Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing and the University at Buffalo, Voelker serves on the board of directors of the Value Network of WNY and Heritage Christian Services. She is also a member of the Erie County Department of Mental Health Leadership Group and the Erie County High Risk Committee. She has twice been recognized as a Buffalo Business First “Power 200 Women.”

Spectrum Health and Human Services provides mental health, addiction, rehabilitation, care coordination, housing, and crisis services in locations throughout Western New York.
