WNY Coalition for the Homeless announces annual homeless memorial

The Western New York Coalition for the Homeless has organized its annual homeless persons’ memorial, which will take place at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library. Organizers said the intent is to remember and honor those who have passed who were impacted by homelessness.

“We will read their names, share their stories, and honor their lives,” a press release stated. “A vigil will be held at the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library in the café space outside of the west room, followed by a reception with refreshments provided.

“The Western New York Coalition for the Homeless is an association of service providers and concerned individuals who have joined together to empower and advocate for people in need of safe, affordable, and permanent housing and related services. The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library is located at 1 Lafayette Square, Buffalo.
