During the commemoration ceremony Monday for the 209th anniversary of the Tuscarora people’s brave actions in saving the lives of Lewiston residents, Anthony DiMino (left), of DiMino’s Lewiston Tops, was honored by the Tuscarora Nation for his support of the Tuscarora Heroes Monument’s maintenance and upkeep.
Presenting him gifts of thanksgiving, including native corn and a copy of the Tuscarora Heroes Monument book, was Tuscarora Council member Neil Patterson Sr., who praised DiMino for his long-standing community involvement and beautification efforts.
A number of area residents participated in the ceremony, including Mayor Anne Welch and Tuscarora Chief Tom Jonathan. (Submitted)
