YMCA Buffalo Niagara has unveiled the anticipated T-shirt for the 127th annual YMCA Turkey Trot. Organizers said, “This year’s T-shirt pays homage to the thousands of trotters who have participated over the years in the oldest consecutively run footrace in the world. The T-shirt showcases runners strolling in the background with the gorgeous City of Buffalo skyline in the foreground.”
All registered Turkey Trotters will receive this commemorative shirt during packet pick-up, which begins at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at the Independent Health Family YMCA at 150 Tech Drive in Amherst. The YMCA Turkey Trot will be held Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24.
A press release said, “Spots are filling quickly. Anyone interested in participating is encouraged to register at YMCATurkeyTrot.org to avoid missing out. The cost to enter is $42.”
The YMCA Turkey Trot begins at 9 a.m. at Delaware and Tacoma avenues in north Buffalo. The 4.97-mile route finishes near the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. A virtual option is also available to participants who cannot attend the in-person event.
