The Buffalo Dolls will perform a concert at the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22. The event is free, but donations are gratefully accepted. The church is located at 100 Church St.

The group is comprised of music educators and performers dedicated to keeping the spirit of the swing era alive by singing the hits of the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s in the three-part harmony style of The Andrews Sisters. The singers are Donna DeLano-Kerr, Rusty Droz and Susan King (special guest). The rhythm section includes members of the Andres family of Youngstown. Claudia Andres, a well-known music director/teacher and theater advocate, will play piano, while her husband, Dr. Jerry Andres, will play bass. Their daughter, Sarah, will join on trumpet. Drummer Peggy Scalzo rounds out the rhythm section.

The group recently performed at the Northwest Jazz Festival in Lewiston.
