Distinguished Student Scholarship recipients will be showcased at the Niagara County Community College (NCCC) Foundation Scholarship Diamond Gala on Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute.
Organizers said, “The 2022 gala is unique as it is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the college, the first in-person gala since 2019, and students from the last three years will be honored.
“This award is the most prestigious scholarship offered by the NCCC Foundation to incoming Niagara County freshman. It provides two years of tuition-free education to deserving students. The individuals were selected based on their academic excellence, service to the community, and loyalty to Niagara County.”
During the 2021-22 academic year, almost $200,000 was awarded to nearly 200 students.
Visit the NCCC website at https://www.niagaracc.suny.edu/scholarships for details on how to apply, and a full listing of available scholarships. The deadline to apply for spring 2023 is Friday, Oct. 21.
Scholarships are supported by the annual NCCC Foundation Scholarship Gala. The event will be held at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (NFCI) where culinary and baking/pastry arts students will prepare sweet and savory dishes from around the world under the direction of the faculty.
