Susan G. Komen will host its “More Than Pink” Walk on Oct. 1 to raise money for programs that directly support people going through breast cancer now, and remove barriers to quality and timely care.

“We look forward to creating a community for anyone impacted by breast cancer as we gather, in person, for this year’s walk,” said Elizabeth Webster, development manager of Upstate New York at Susan G. Komen. “Funds raised from the ‘More Than Pink’ Walk will ensure Komen can continue to support our community and meet the needs of patients with information about breast cancer and clinical trials or financial assistance to pay their bills.”

“More Than Pink” will take place at Buffalo Riverworks. The event begins at 8 a.m. Hope Village debuts at 8:15 a.m., followed by the “Pathway of Hope” opening ceremony at 9 a.m. The walk follows, at 9:15 a.m., and the event concludes with a post-walk celebration from 9:15 a.m. until noon.
