Geraldine E. Normandin, “Gerri,” age 78, a resident of Grand Island for more than 50 years, sadly passed away Aug. 21, 2022 after a hard-fought battle at Roswell.
She was born Oct. 5, 1943 in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada. Gerri met her beloved husband of 59 years, Serge Normandin, while in high school, and they have been together ever since.
She retired as a real estate broker with Hunt Real Estate after a 30-year career. Gerri was also the foundation director of the Margaret L. Wendt Foundation. She served as office manager for Dr. Willard Ruth, D.O., for 13 years, and was owner/operator of two Tonawanda pizzerias.
She loved her gardens, enjoyed boating, and spending time with her family and her two beloved dogs: Lucy and Norm.
Gerri is survived by her beloved husband, Serge J. Normandin. She is the loving mother of Tracey Normandin Duffy, Troy J. Normandin and Danielle (Michael) McGavisk; and adored grandmother of Alec, Ryan, Paige, Caroline, Gabrielle, Troy H. and Michael. She is dearest sister of Patricia (Walter) McDonald and Joseph (Rose) Daniel; and also survived by cherished nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
There will be a private celebration of her life with family on her upcoming birthday.
