Participating students will receive free backpack filled with school supplies, while supplies last
The Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA is once again teaming up with the Salvation Army, the United Way of Greater Niagara and the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club to distribute backpacks filled with school supplies for an annual back-to-school event.
From 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, members from these organizations will hand out 500 backpacks to local students, while supplies last, inside Entrance 6.
“Our back-to-school event is something we look forward to every year. It’s a really great way to get different members of our community to come together and support our area’s students and families,” said Susie Swiatkowski, marketing manager for Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls. “Partnering with the Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club and the United Way gives us a chance to make an even bigger impact. All three of these organizations are doing wonderful things for our community, and we couldn’t be more excited to kick off the 2022 school year with them.”
The back-to-school event is open to the public, with no cost associated with admission.
Families are invited to stop by the Fashion Outlets, enjoy music from local DJ Always a Party, grab a free backpack as supplies last, and score some deals at participating retailers.
Students, pre-K through high school, must be in attendance to receive a backpack, which will only be available while supplies last.
Guests can also view the outlet’s newest mural, “Kindness is Fashionable,” which is on display on the windows of Entrance 3. The mural was part of a communitywide project lead by local artist Ali Price that kicked off earlier this month. The mural will be developed under the premise of spreading unity, love and kindness to the Western New York community.
