Niagara County Department of Public Works Commissioner Garret Meal announced a section of Griswold Road in the Town of Royalton will be closed to all motorists, except local traffic, beginning Aug. 22. Electronic message boards warning motorists of the pending closure will be put in place on Aug. 15.
The closure of Griswold Road is for a culvert replacement between Mountain and Graham roads. The road closure is expected to last two to three weeks, with full project completion slated for early October.
“We appreciate the public’s patience as we continue to maintain our core infrastructure; in this case, keeping this culvert functioning hydraulically and ensuring it is structurally safe,” Meal said.
