The New York State Department of Transportation announced sign replacement work would begin on a portion of Niagara Scenic Parkway in the City of Niagara Falls next week. As a result, lane closures will occur.
At 7 a.m. Monday, July 18, motorists should expect to encounter right lane closures on Niagara Scenic Parkway between Interstate 190 and John Daly Boulevard. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction until 5 p.m.
This work is expected to last approximately three days, but is weather-sensitive and could be delayed in the event of inclement conditions.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
