The Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas held its “Member Appreciation Night” June 9 at 254 Sweeney St., North Tonawanda. Food was provided from chamber member establishments.

Executive Director Sarah Nelson said this event is a tradition in the Tonawandas.

“It was a wonderful evening of friendship and laughter,” she said. “With new and old members, it was a great networking opportunity and much fun! This was a free event for our members as a way to say, ‘Thank you,’ and ‘We appreciate you!’ ”

The Chamber of Commerce also held a take-out rib dinner with Master’s BBQ Co. on June 4.

Area businesses also attended the 23rd annual golf tournament on June 13, held at member Pendleton Creek Golf Club in North Tonawanda. The event included 18 holes of golf, plus lunch, happy hour, dinner and awards.

Sponsors included RAC Engineering, Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Tops Markets, Intandem, McGirr’s, Nicastro Accounting Services, Armenia CPA PLLC and Just Signs and Designs.

Nelson said the outing would not be possible without the support of regulars every year, and new guests that decided to join along with the many sponsors for the event. Plans are already in place for 2023.
