By Richard Stortecky

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Rick Stortecky. I moved to the area 10 years ago when I fell in love with Colleen (Brennen) Stortecky, a lifetime Youngstown resident. Not only did I fall in love with Colleen, I immediately fell in love with the Village of Youngstown.

We are all so fortunate to have a beautiful historic village and, coupled with that, we have incredibly talented and welcoming people. Youngstown has been more than just a village to me; it has provided a place for close-knit relationships and newfound friendships.

As a trustee, I can assure you I will be visible, approachable and transparent. I live on Main Street, and I have my business (Park Place Wealth Management Inc.) on Main Street. When I am not at these two locations, I can typically be found at the Village Diner enjoying a meal. I love living and working in Youngstown, and now as our three children are young adults, I feel it is the right time for me to give back to our community.

As a business owner, I may not have the answers to every question presented, but I make it my job to find the answer and report back. I believe this responsive process is the backbone for how trust is formed. I pride myself on answering questions with facts, not my opinion. I look forward to providing this same approach as trustee, in hopes to build ongoing trust with our entire community.

Youngstown is my home, and I already consider many village residents to be part of my extended family. I want to preserve Youngstown’s history, while creating new opportunities for the village and its residents. I believe I will bring new energy and new ideas to our community, and this will make our village a better place to live, raise a family, and retire in.

I would be honored to be a Youngstown village trustee, and I humbly ask you for your vote.
