The Village of Lewiston Earth Day Cleanup was a huge success. Community participation was incredible, with 100-plus volunteers.
Big thanks to the residents and local organizations, including the Lewiston Kiwanis Club, the Peach Queen, the Lew-Port Builders Club, Niagara University Circle K Club and Cub Scout Pack 855.
Special thanks to the Modern Disposal volunteer crew, the Village of Lewiston DPW, Mayor Anne Welch, village Trustee Claudia Marasco and Deputy Mayor Vic Eydt for contributing.
Over the next few months, the Lewiston Lions will be raising funds to plant trees throughout the community. Any donation large or small is greatly appreciated. Contact Rob Nichols at 716-213-3295 if you are interested in helping with this project.
