May 1-7 is National Travel & Tourism Week. To celebrate, Mark Andol, founder and owner of Made in America Store based in Elma, is announcing the grand opening of a new, expanded location in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls – in time for the 2022 tourist season. Joining Andol for the announcement is John Percy, president and CEO of Destination Niagara USA.

“We’ve been happy to add our 100% American Made Products retail brand to the wonderful array of attractions on the American side of Niagara Falls,” Andol said. “Since first opening in 2013 at 360 Rainbow Blvd., next to the Rainbow Bridge to Canada, we’ve welcomed thousands of guests from around the world. What could be better than this prime location – across from spectacular Niagara Falls State Park – designed by America’s preeminent landscape designer, Frederick Law Olmsted of NYC’s Central Park fame?”

Andol noted Olmsted’s 200th birthday is being celebrated this year across the USA.

Percy noted that, during the peak years of the pandemic, visitation to Niagara Falls by domestic travelers – especially families – remained strong.

“Working with Paul Grenga and his team at this prime location, we have offered tourists products made in the USA, and only 100% American Made Products – a respected brand that resonates with domestic and international tourists and residents alike,” Andol said.

The new, enlarged store, now 1,500 square-feet, is located next to a brand new, state-of-the-art attraction that is also on the second floor of 360 Rainbow Blvd: The Links Golf & Tap.

“World events – whether they are a global pandemic or a war in Europe – have brought new attention to America’s need to make vital products and to achieve energy independence,” Andol said. “Our Made in America mission has never been more relevant or strong.”

To date, the Made in America Store and Distribution Center in Elma have garnered attention from dozens of national and international media outlets. The store was a central feature in the national documentary titled, “American Made Movie."

“Our close relationship with the Destination Niagara USA team, headed by CEO and President John Percy, has enhanced the unique American profile and desirability of visiting and staying on the U.S. side of Niagara Falls,” Andol said. “With new attractions and lodging options added year after year, we look forward to working with all of our Niagara USA-based tourism partners to grow the tourism market here for years to come.”
