Upper Mountain Fire Co. of Lewiston recently took delivery of a new 2020 Chevrolet utility vehicle. This is Upper Mountain’s first purchase of a utility truck. The vehicle has been placed in service and will be used as a support vehicle for ladder truck operations, fire police responses, and to transport additional personnel to supplement on-scene operations. The company provides mutual aid ladder support for the towns of Lewiston and Porter.

The vehicle identified as 26M11 is not an emergency medical services response unit. Emergency medical services operations are provided by the fire company’s two BLS/ALS ambulances and its advanced life support, paramedic/critical care fly car. All services are available countywide through mutual aid agreements.

The fire company is always looking for new members in a variety of positions. Individuals interested in becoming a member can contact the Fire Chief David Piwtorak at [email protected] or the president at [email protected].
