Maryann Cogdill, director of OB/GYN services at the Center for Women at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital – named the Nurse of Distinction for Western New York in January – visited the Rotary Club of Lewiston and Niagara-on-the-Lake on March 9. After informing the club of the evolution of services for newborns and mothers in the greater Niagara Falls area, she received a contribution to help improve those services.
Rotary stated, “There has been a longstanding partnership between the nurses and alumnae of the maternity/nursery staff and the Rotary Club to raise funds for and/or purchase needed equipment to optimize the well-being of women and infants in the community. It is good to have friends and partners.”
