Lisa Arnet, a human resource leader with a 25-year history of evaluating and leading for-profit and not-for-profit organizations through all phases of growth, culture building, and HR development, has been named vice president of human resources at Niagara University.
“Human resources is a critical and strategic function within the university,” said Robert Morreale, chief financial and innovation officer at Niagara University. “Lisa’s extensive experience and outstanding leadership will be crucial as the university implements long-range strategic talent management goals and develops policies that embrace and foster the diversity that will benefit our entire campus community.”
Arnet comes to Niagara from Highmark and HealthNow (Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY), where she served as the director of enterprise talent: performance management and engagement, and director of talent and organizational development. Before joining HealthNow, she held key leadership roles at Horizon Health Services, Allwel, and We Care Transportation.
Her expertise includes employee engagement and the employee experience; strategic planning; performance management; talent management; leadership development; diversity, equity and inclusion; culture building; employee relations; change management; and recruitment and coaching.
Arnet earned both a bachelor of business administration degree and a master of arts degree in organizational leadership at Medaille College. Along with many other community involvement activities, she serves on advisory boards for St. Bonaventure and the University of Buffalo.
