The Lewiston Police Department posted the following on its Facebook page on Friday:
On 2/4/2022 at 12:22pm, Lewiston Police were dispatched to a residence in the 2400 block of Upper Mountain Road for a check the welfare. After failed attempts to make contact in the residence, patrol gained access and found a husband and wife in their 70's deceased from gunshot wounds. Preliminary investigation has determined this to be a murder-suicide. No further information at this time and names of the deceased are being withheld. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene, CIB and AIU assisted with processing the scene with their FARO Scanner.
