The Alzheimer’s Association Western New York Chapter is launching a limited series focused on providing educational tools and other resources for those living with a diagnosis of early stage Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or another form of dementia.
The “Living with Alzheimer’s” program will cover what a diagnosis means, how to find resources to help with disease management, local supportive services and financial considerations.
Staff from the WNY Chapter will host the free webinar series starting on Tuesday, Feb. 15, using Zoom, making it accessible via desktop or laptop computer, tablet or smartphone. Care partners are also welcome to attend, as guidance on improving communication, managing behavioral changes and the importance of self-care will also be discussed.
The program is free to attend, but registration is required by calling the local chapter during regular business hours at 716-626-0600, ext. 313. Once registered, participants will be sent the access link and other details via email.
