YBPA spreads holiday cheer in Youngstown

The Youngstown Business and Professional Association announced has finalized its grant project, funded through the YBPA’s participation in the annual Niagara County William G. Mayne Business Community Enhancement Program.

“Today we finalized the YBPA grant project, which began with the purchase of brand-new U.S. flags and village flags, Youngstown/Porter rack cards, and today with the arrival of 25 new replacement 36-inch LED snowflake lights for the Village of Youngstown and Porter,” YBPA President Cheryl Irish-Butera said.

She added, “As everyone is well aware, the problems in getting items shipped in time for the holidays affected our mission. These snowflakes were ordered for arrival in October! They (fortunately) arrived today – all 25!

“With the help and support of the grant writers, we were given an extended timeline because of shipping delays,”

Butera said the shipments were extended to allow YBPA to stay within the Dec. 31 timeline date for delivery.

“We are happy to report we did achieve our goal today,” Butera said. “We look forward to seeing these gorgeous decorations for several years to come. As president of the YBPA, and our entire board, we wish a very happy and safe holiday season to all.”
