Heavy equipment/diesel technology teacher Wes Blidy recently welcomed Milton CAT Batavia representative Tim Faucet to the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center.

“Tim did an outstanding presentation on a basic hydraulic system,” Blidy said. “It was very informative and very interesting. I was quite impressed that someone from industry would take the time to stop by our school and put on such a successful lesson.”

After the basic hydraulic lesson, Faucet proceeded to tell the class about Milton CAT. He explained it is a full-service heavy equipment dealership for sales, rentals, parts and service of equipment. He also told students about a new facility that will be opening in Tonawanda this winter, and how Milton CAT will be looking for employees such as technicians, parts representatives, sales representatives and field service.

“I am hopeful we can start a few students with an internship, then possible employment,” Blidy said.

He noted his thanks to Milton CAT for the donation of an engine, and various hydraulic components to use as training items in his class.

“We are very grateful for this opportunity and appreciate the equipment they gave us,” Blidy said. “I look forward to partnering with Milton CAT in the near future.”
