Mary Jo Edwards, a sixth-grade math teacher at Harry F. Abate Elementary in Niagara Falls, receives a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot from pharmacy intern Jessica Corbett during a Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center clinic held Thursday at the Niagara Falls Community Education Center, formally 60th Street Elementary School.
During the clinic, Memorial distributed more than 50 vaccine shots of both the COVID-19 booster and the influenza vaccine.
Memorial continues its collaboration with the community, including area school districts, to provide the COVID-19 booster vaccine, which are available to individuals who have received a primary series of the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine and meet the New York State Department of Health guidelines for eligibility.
