Wilson Lions Club held its annual pumpkin decorating contest on Saturday at the Wilson Community Library. Winners for this year’s contest were: first place, Charlotte Tinder; second place, Rylee Faucett; and third place, Kenley Faucett.

The contest is an annual event, sponsored by the Wilson Lions, with cash prizes. It is open to the Wilson community (children up to the age of 12), and entries are judged on their creativity and originality. The pumpkins for decorating are free to all the contestants and were picked up at the Community Library, decorated at home and returned for judging.

This year’s judges were Past District Gov. James Muscoreil, Past President Diane Muscoreil and trustees Jerome Maillet and Kathi and Cliff Stein.

Stop by the library, at 265 Young St., to see all of the contestants’ entries and the winners.

For information on becoming a Lion, contact President Anne Basile at 716-830-4151.
